Advance Care Planning and Advance Directives
Hannah Murphy, NDSU DNP Student

Hannah Murphy is a graduate student in the NDSU's Doctor of Nursing Practice program. Murphy is working on a research project to see if providing healthcare provider education on advance care planning and advance directives will improve advance care planning conversations and increase patient advance directive rates. It is her hope, that with this research, she will find a way to help improve healthcare providers’ perceived knowledge, confidence, and understanding in both initiating and facilitating advance care planning conversations, especially seen in the primary care setting.

Participants will be asked to complete a brief survey and test both before and after the webinar. Completion of the tests and surveys will take approximately 15-30 minutes. Completion of pre/post tests and surveys, as well as the one-hour education webinar, is required to receive 1.0 CE credit through the North Dakota Board of Nursing. Post test must be passed with a grade of 80 percent or 8/10 to receive CE credit.

Once required score is achieved you are redirected to the Post Survey. Once submitted you are directed to form to receive your CE certificate which is only accessible by Melissa Eslinger, NDNPA Webmaster (who is not directly involved in this study). CE certificate is emailed to the account you submit.
